Congress Busy Renaming Post Offices

The U.S. House of Representatives has been busy the last two days. They've been renaming post offices. While I commend them for honoring veterans by naming post offices after them, it seems to me that their time could be better spent.

My husband enjoys watching CSPAN every morning when he's home. I just get aggrivated when I watch. With all the important issues facing our nation right now, they just seem to waste time. With all the "thanks" and "admiration" they express toward each other, and the non-important resolutions they pass, I just think they are wasting time

The Election Process Continues

I'm disappointed that John Edwards has dropped out. I like choices. And with the recent bickering between the Obama and Clinton campaignes, I really didn't think I'd be choosing either of them. The only choice I like on the other side is Ron Paul, and I doubt he'll get the nomination.

Tonight's debate, however, brought some hope. I was really impressed with the civility with which Obama and Clinton handled themselves tonight. I appreciate it so much more when a candidate tells me why he or she is the best person for the job rather than trying to convince me that his or her opponent is NOT the best person for the job. That is, I think, what they did tonight. Each explained his or her stand on the issues. That's what I want to hear
