The Election Process Continues

I'm disappointed that John Edwards has dropped out. I like choices. And with the recent bickering between the Obama and Clinton campaignes, I really didn't think I'd be choosing either of them. The only choice I like on the other side is Ron Paul, and I doubt he'll get the nomination.
Tonight's debate, however, brought some hope. I was really impressed with the civility with which Obama and Clinton handled themselves tonight. I appreciate it so much more when a candidate tells me why he or she is the best person for the job rather than trying to convince me that his or her opponent is NOT the best person for the job. That is, I think, what they did tonight. Each explained his or her stand on the issues. That's what I want to hear.
If they can continue with this type of campaigning, I won't mind voting for either one of them.
I liked the question about an Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama ticket. I'm sure most of us have thought of that from the beginning. I think the best order for that ticket would be Clinton/Obama. She has more experience. If he is her vice-president, then he'll get the experience he needs to continue on after her presidency. If they are both trully committed to the things they say they are, it will work. Obama will still make history - only twice. First, as the first African-American vice president, then as the first African-American president. It's a win-win situation.
Now we just have to wait and see if they can hold on to the civililty long enough to win the presidency in November.
