YouTube Debate

What did you think about the YouTube Debate on CNN last night?
I really liked the format. I wasn't entirely satisfied with the answers to the questions.
Hillary Clinton deserves my appologies. She doesn't consider herself to be a "liberal" and I used her photo in my last post to represent liberals. She calls herself a "modern progressive." Great! Another label to figure out.
Who was the winner? I really couldn't decide on a clear "winner" in last night's debate. I don't know how honest they were when most of them said they'd work for minimum wage. I guess Obama was the most honest when he said they could afford to work for that wage because of their personal wealth.
Even though she's not my favorite, I was impressed with Clinton's answer to the question about how she will be taken seriously by leaders of Islamic countries. I was really surprised that they all thought women should be required to register for the draft, even though they are all against the draft in the first place.
Election reform wasn't adequately addressed. I was really disappointed that the candidates were not all required (or allowed) to answer the question about standardized voting. Richardson was the only one given a chance to answer it, and he kind of skated around it. He did say he was for a verified paper trail, which is important, but it still doesn't completely address the issue.
Well, I seem to be just rambling today. Again, I liked the YouTube format, and I hope that is something that will continue. I would like to see a much longer debate, or mor frequent ones. And, I got a lot of ideas for more posts. So, until next time, thank you for reading!
